Overview

Sakina is a Muslim mental wellness companion built by Harari Tech. We take your privacy seriously — especially given the sensitive, personal nature of the conversations you have in this app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Conversation data: Messages you send to Sakina and the responses you receive, stored to enable conversation history.
• Mood check-ins: Your daily mood selections (1–5 scale) and any optional notes.
• Living Profile: Themes and patterns extracted from your conversations to personalize Sakina's responses over time. You can view and clear this at any time.
• Push notification token: If you grant permission, we store a device token to send daily wellness reminders.
• Usage data: Daily message counts used solely to enforce free-tier limits.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalize the Sakina experience
• To send daily wellness reminders (only if you grant notification permission)
• To enforce subscription and usage limits
• To improve the app over time

We do not sell your data. We do not share your conversations with third parties except as required to operate the service (Supabase for storage, Anthropic for AI responses, RevenueCat for subscription management).

AI & Third-Party Services

Sakina uses the Claude AI API by Anthropic to generate responses. Messages you send are processed by Anthropic's API to generate replies. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing: anthropic.com/privacy.

Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. Storage and authentication are provided by Supabase.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app: Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Children's Privacy

Sakina is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
